Experienced Handyman/Porter wanted full-time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday) to service multiple apartment buildings in the general Koreatown/Larchmont/Hollywood/West Hollywood and surrounding area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Property Manager as needed for building to-dos at all properties.
General Handyman Work (must have your own tools):
Drywall removal, reinstallation, patching, sanding and painting
Painting as needed
Magic Eraser wall marks throughout buildings as needed
Door and window screen repairs and re-installation
Home Depot runs (you’ll have them call Property Manager for the purchase)
Key copying
General Electrical: Changing electrical outlets, changing light bulbs, changing light fixtures
General plumbing: Snaking, toilet fill valves, handle replacements, leaks
Cleaning including light fixtures, unit AC filters
Test smoke/carbon detectors, replace batteries or units as needed
Turnover all vacant units (make repairs as needed and clean the unit- you’ll be given a checklist)
Other general apartment upkeep & maintenance:
Keep trash picked up in front of buildings and outside of trash room
Break down boxes in recycling bin when needed to make space
Keep maintenance rooms clean and organized
Clean front entry glass and keep recycling bin by mailboxes emptied
Sweep up debris as needed
Sweep the garages as needed
Landscaping (landscaping equipment to be provided):
Keep landscaping trimmed, maintained and watered
Blow leaves as needed and rake, disposing of as needed
Ensure the landscaping lighting timers are set correctly during the time change or loss of power at the property
Cleaning (cleaning supplies to be provided):
Clean buildings weekly:
Sweep/vacuum floors, including laundry room and elevators
Mop floors
Clean all surfaces throughout the building, including laundry room and elevators
Clean entry doors glass
Water lobby plants (bucket provided)
The pay is $25 per hour to be paid every other Friday.
Requirements:
Must be honest, reliable, trustworthy, experienced and hard-working. We will not consider anyone who does not have at least 2-3 years of the above experience. General Contractors will not be considered.
Must be resident of Los Angeles
Must have a reliable vehicle, preferably a truck or van.
Must have experience with light plumbing, light electrical, and drywall repairs including mudding.
Must be communicative and responsive. Property Manager will be your point of contact and text you frequently.
Must provide a resume with history of experience.
