Experienced Handyman wanted part-time for 2-4 days per week to service multiple apartment buildings in the general Hollywood/Koreatown/West Hollywood areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Property Manager as needed for building to-dos at all properties.
- Routine maintenance when needed, such as:
Changing electrical outlets
Changing light bulbs
Cleaning including light fixtures, unit AC filters
Door and window screen removal and re-installation
Drywall removal, re-installation, patching/mudding, sanding and painting
General plumbing: snaking, toilet fill valves, handle replacements, leaks
Home Depot runs (you’ll have them call Property Manager for the purchase)
Install unit numbers, and other accessories
Light demo work including removal of cabinets, window treatments, flooring
Key copying
Magic Eraser wall marks throughout buildings as needed
Painting as needed
Remove and install wall AC units as needed
Removal and installation of fixtures (faucets, shower heads, etc.)
Removal and installation of hardware (cabinet knobs, towel racks, door knobs, deadbolts, etc.)
Removal and installation of light fixtures
Replace smoke/carbon detectors or their batteries as needed
- Other general apartment upkeep & maintenance
- Keep trash picked up in front of buildings and outside of trash room
- Break down boxes in recycling bin when needed to make space
- Keep maintenance rooms clean and organized
- Clean front entry glass and keep recycling bin by mailboxes emptied
- Sweep up debris as needed in between cleaning crew visits
The pay is $25 per hour. Must be willing to submit invoice for timely payment processing (Paid within 2-3 weeks of invoice submittal). Detailed invoice will be provided for reporting time with sample template. Same-day payments are NOT offered.
Requirements:
. Must provide a W9 for payment (you will be a 1099 contractor)
. Must be honest, reliable, and experienced. We will not consider anyone who does not have at least 2-3 years of the above experience.
. Must have a reliable vehicle for Home Depot/Lowe’s runs.
. Must have experience with light plumbing, light electrical, and drywall repairs including mudding.
. Must provide a resume with history of experience. You will not be considered if you just send an email with your phone number and a list of experience.
. Must be able to work on days assigned from 9am-5pm.
