Residential Construction company in Los Angeles is looking for an energetic Working Foreman with 6-8 years minimum experience in the field. Ideally this candidate has led crews onsite and works well under pressure of a demanding schedule. This candidate would need to exemplify the ability to be comfortable managing multiple trade subcontractors at a time, show aptitude in plan reading and construction means and methods, as well as show exceptional ability to work well with other team members.
This candidate must be motivated to learn, be strong in documentation of field progress, and overall communication skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
Onsite Subcontractor interface.
Supports daily project construction processes.
Assures completion of assigned projects with quality workmanship; oversees Subcontractor performance of specific trades including grading, concrete, framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and finishes.
Completes work that is out of scope including special projects as directed by supervisor.
Purchases and delivers project materials as required.
Quality Control
Supports the on-going scope of work performed by Subcontractors; assigns corrective work as needed.
Produce end of day punch-lists for all work performed during working day.Perform basic construction field tasks if corrections are needed for trades to continue.
Foresee and mitigate upcoming issues in the coordination of multiple trades.
Safety
Assists in identifying safety issues and performs corrections.
Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Ensures all on-site personnel have proper PPE’s.
Facilitates bi-weekly Safety Tailgate meetings.
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years as a Tradesman.
Must possess a valid California DL.
Able to read and understand basic blueprints.
Demonstrated ability to supervise field staff.
Demonstrated ability to provide high quality skilled labor for all trades.
Knowledge of integral trades such as concrete, framing, MEP’s, finishes.
Knowledge of how a single-family residence comes together.
Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus.
Truck and own tools are required.
