Job purpose
Under the direction of the Lead Installer, install high-end residential cabinetry and commercial millwork. The Installer must maintain professionalism, quality control, and jobsite cleanliness.
Duties and responsibilities
Perform and facilitate but not limited to the following:
Wear the required PPE and attire, and take all necessary precautions to remain safe.
Install cabinets according to written or verbal instructions
Measure room or installation area
Follow blueprints to ensure the quality of installation
Inspection and assembly of materials and articles to specified standards
Cut or build cabinets to fit in each space
Provide excellent customer service
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Ensure attention to detail
Follow all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including the safe operation of machines and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
Clean up the jobsite after installation.
Proactively communicate jobsite conditions and concerns that may or are affecting job completion to the Lead installer.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience installing custom fabricated cabinetry
Must be employable in the US
Qualifications include:
Clean driving record
Self-motivated
Detail orientated
Residential and commercial cabinetry and millwork installation
Countertop installation
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to read and translate blueprints and jobsite measurements
Ability to read and use woodworking related measuring devices
Ability to use hand tools related to the woodworking business in a safe and professional manner. Including but not limited to:
Ladder
Hammer
Utility knife
Chisel
Nail Set
Laser Level
Ability to use power tools related to the woodworking business in a safe and professional manner. Including but not limited to:
Nail gun
Routers
Sanders
Drills
Edge sander
Plate joiner
Domino joiner
Jig saw
Chop Saw
Table saw
Must know how to scribe
Strong communication skills
Working conditions
Candidate will report directly to the Lead Installer. Working alone, with a helper or a team of employees. Typical job site conditions for both residential and commercial projects. On and off site; primarily construction job sites. Requires long periods of standing. Subject to noise from equipment operation.
Physical requirements
Physical requirements include but not limited to the following:
Bending, pushing, moving, lifting objects, weighing up to 50 pounds, heavy physical labor, standing and walking for extended periods of time, climbing, bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, carrying, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate specialized tools and equipment, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to climb ladders and stairs as required.
