THE POSITION
King’s Cross Church is seeking an experienced Live Audio Technician (audio tech) to mix sound during the church worship service, using a Midas M32R LIVE 40-channel Digital Mixer. The equipment and stage will be set up and put away separately, with other personnel. The audio technician will survey the set-up, go through rehearsal and sound checks, then mix and record the main service that begins at 10AM. No video, streaming, or postproduction is involved.
TIME COMMITMENT & PAY
Sundays, 8:30AM-11:30AM. We are seeking to fill every Sunday with one audio tech. The frequency depends on our needs and your availability: negotiable.
Pay rate: $30-$50/hour, depending on experience and frequency: negotiable.
PERSONAL CONSIDERATIONS & CONDUCT
Dress code is casual, but the audio tech will use good judgement: no logo apparel, hats, hoodies, shorts, pajamas, tank tops, or sandals, for example.
We need someone who respects that we are a church, refraining from cussing, coarse joke, and poor interactions with our patrons. The audio tech will be perceived as a person on the church staff.
We prefer applicants who live within 30 minutes of our meeting location.
THE RELATIONSHIPS
The audio tech will report to the Executive Pastor and will work with the Lead Pastor, musicians, staff, and volunteers.
ABOUT US
King’s Cross Church launched on March 31, 2019. Planted by Pacific Crossroads Church in Los Angeles, we have our roots in the Presbyterian Church in America. Each week our attendance averages 150 adults and children. We strive to be CHRIST-centered, GOSPEL-driven, OUTWARD-facing, and RESTORING-glory. We believe the Church is people, not a building. One of our primary goals is to plant churches that plant churches. For now, we are a relatively new church, establishing our focus and trajectory for growth.
