We're Cactus Moon, a small boutique, inclusive neighborhood salon in Highland Park, looking for an amazing assistant to help our two stellar stylists in their day-to-day.
The right assistant will fit well into our relaxed-yet-upscale vibe, and take some of the lift off our stylists so they can be more productive, have more personal time with their clients, and focus on their craft.
We are open to licensed and non-licensed assistants, so long as you are:
- willing to own salon duties like light cleaning, greeting clients, and offering beverages
- willing to own office admin duties like color ordering, research, etc.
- local (the closer to Highland Park, the better)
- hardworking
- easy to get along with
- detail-oriented
- have social media experience and willing to own posting on the salon's socials
If you are licensed, we would also require you to have:
- a small clientele
- 1-2 years experience in a salon
- an interest in becoming a junior stylist
- shampoo and blowdry
This role is part-time and applicants must be available Wednesday through Saturday.
Starting at $17/hr plus tips.
