Position Overview:
Our hair stylists are not only individuals who translate their individual art in all thing’s hair, they also:
- Help clients decide their ideal haircut and hair style
- Complete hair cutting techniques, including trims, layers, and texturizing
- Perform and have mastered hair coloring methods, such as highlights, ombre and balayage
- Wonderfully style hair, including blowouts, curls, braids, ponytails, and updos
- Upsell clients on our featured clean products and services
- Develop ongoing relationship with clients
- Follow all salon policies and procedures
- Keep up with latest trends in all thing’s beauty and hair
Hair stylist responsibilities and requirements:
- An active cosmetology license in California is required
- Education in natural hair care is preferred
- Possesses over 4+ years of hair styling experience
- Knows haircutting, hairstyling, and hair coloring best practices
- Greets clients enthusiastically and offers them a refreshment (coffee, tea, water)
- Is willing to participate in our clean hair color training service
- Sterilize hair tools and equipment
- Notifies and assists clients how to book their next appointment
- Learn and maintain extensive knowledge on Nuage service menu, all products being utilized within salon as well explaining perks/benefits of our salon membership program
- Learn and become proficient in BLVD (our salons appointment booking and payment processing system)
- Appropriately responds to client emails/text messages regarding appointments and services
- Maintain salon organization and cleanliness of their station
- Educate and provide answers about Nuage’s company mission and provide guidance on questions or concerns they may have

- Fantastic communication skills (multi-lingual a plus) and has strong active listening skills
- Able to work flexible days and hours (available to work at least one weekend day)
- Possesses great time-management skills, is punctual and detail oriented
- Collaborates with other hair stylists and managers and is a team-player
- Builds long-term relationships with clients and has excellent social skills
