Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inbound/Outbound Inspector to join our quality team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all materials and products entering and leaving various facilities meet established standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well-organized, and comfortable working independently across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Mobile Inspection Duties:

Travel using your own vehicle to customer and supplier sites within a 30-mile radius of Torrance, CA to perform on-site inbound and outbound inspections.

Arrive on time and complete inspection tasks independently and efficiently.

Inbound & Outbound Inspection:

Inspect incoming raw materials, parts, and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Perform final inspections of outgoing products, ensuring they are defect-free and packaged correctly.

Shipping & Coordination:

Lift and handle packages up to 50 lbs as part of the inspection and shipping process.

Print shipping labels, organize and prepare shipments, and arrange courier services.

Communicate with customers to confirm shipping details and ensure final products are delivered to the correct addresses.

Documentation & Reporting:

Use a company-issued iPhone to photograph inspection results and organize them into PDF reports.

Prepare and submit detailed reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Maintain accurate records and meet all reporting deadlines set by the supervisor.

Communication & Collaboration:

Report inspection results and any quality issues to internal teams.

Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality departments to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Standards:

Follow all company quality procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Support internal audits and maintain proper documentation for inspections and shipments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.

Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement may be offered).

Strong proficiency in using inspection tools and reading technical documents or blueprints.

Excellent organization and communication skills.

Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and iPhone usage for documentation and reporting.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Experience coordinating shipping logistics and working directly with customers is a plus.

Additional Information:

This is a mobile, field-based role requiring daily travel.

The company will provide a smartphone for work-related use.

Some standing, lifting, and bending may be required throughout the day.
