Who We Are:
GSSi, Inc., a 4th generation family owned security company is seeking candidates for unarmed AND armed vehicle patrol. We believe in putting our security officers first! We are hiring for a vehicle patrol officer to patrol a business district in northeast Los Angeles
Unarmed starts at $18.00 per hour (pay increase in July 2024)
Armed starts at $19.00 per hour plus .25 cent per hour firearm maintenance allowance. (pay increase in July 2024)
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Wednesday through Sunday 6pm-2am
off on Monday and Tuesday
Duties:
1. Operate a company patrol vehicle in a designated geographic patrol area
2. Customer Service
3. Complete reports via company smart phone
4. Observe and report
5. Respond to calls for service (trespassing, loitering)
6. Call Law Enforcement to handle problems that security can not.
This is an observe and report post, security officers do not engage in hands on contact, detentions, or arrests.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Must have good driving record (no DUI, reckless driving, etc)
2. Valid BSIS guard card
3. Valid BSIS firearm card (for armed)
4. Valid BSIS baton permit (for unarmed/armed, GSSi can assist with obtaining permit)
5. Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
6. Good customer service skills
7. Good written and verbal communication skills
8. Must be able to work OT, weekends, holidays
