Our small establishment in Little Tokyo is looking for an experienced door/security guard/host for our establishment. 5 days per week, hours are from 8 or 9pm to 2 or 3am day of the week dependent. Must have weekend availability.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a nightlife/bar setting, can work late hours, and can deescalate conflicts easily with a friendly and calm attitude if they arise.
This role is responsible for greeting guests with a warm friendly attitude, checking IDs, maintaining a safe environment, keeping calm while dealing with intoxicated guests, and not letting overly intoxicated guests in to the bar in the first place. This role actively walks throughout the bar periodically to check in on guests and be aware of any conflicts that may be brewing, and can communicate effectively with the team should anything arise.
