Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00/hour (based on experience)
Event Dates: Dark Harbor will run for approximately 6 weeks, with shifts primarily in the evenings and weekends.
About Us: VetSec HD is a premier security company providing top-tier security services for high-profile events. We are seeking professional, dedicated, and vigilant event security guards for the Dark Harbor event at the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and security of event attendees, staff, and performers.
Patrol event areas, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
Monitor crowd activity to prevent disturbances or safety hazards.
Perform bag checks, wanding, and access control at designated entry points.
Respond quickly to security incidents or emergencies.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional presence.
Report and document any suspicious activity, incidents, or violations.
Requirements:
Active California Guard Card (REQUIRED).
Minimum 2 years of event security experience preferred.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
Able to stand and walk for long periods in various weather conditions.
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
Must own black cargo pants, black boots, and other appropriate attire (uniform shirt provided).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working security at large-scale events, concerts, or festivals.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
Military or law enforcement background a plus.
