We're hiring a skilled Access Control Technician with real experience installing, wiring, and maintaining access control systems — not just someone handy with tools. You’ll be working with electronic locks, card readers, cloud-based systems, and low-voltage infrastructure.
YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THIS FIELD
Responsibilities:
Install and configure commercial access control systems (Schlage, HID, Brivo, Verkada, Openpath, etc.)
Perform locksmith tasks: rekeying, hardware swaps, installing mechanical/electronic locks
Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat6, RS485, door strikes, mag locks, etc.)
Interpret wiring diagrams, job specs, and site blueprints
Conduct site walkthroughs, create install plans, and complete project documentation
Maintain a clean, professional, and respectful presence with clients
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of hands-on access control installation experience (not just surveillance)
Experience with low-voltage wiring and termination (RS485, Cat6, relay triggers, etc.)
Locksmithing background required – know your pins, strikes, and cylinders
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (work truck or van preferred)
Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software in the field
Comfortable working solo or as part of a small team
Compensation & Perks:
$35–$65/hr, depending on skill and certifications
