Fast growing women's wholesale apparel company looking to add a production assistant to the team based in downtown Los Angeles in the Fashion District. Part-time (20-30 hours/week) opportunity with semi-flexible schedule with opportunity to become full time. Days required in the showroom are Mondays and Wednesdays. Hourly salary from $20-$28/hr based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain database of purchase orders and follow through with delivery dates
- Submit new orders to overseas factories
- Track orders through production to ensure on time delivery
- Coordinate with logistics team on shipment planning
- Assist in showroom needs
Preferred Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in apparel
- Vendor or manufacturer experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of fabric, garment construction, measurements, and fitting
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills
- Task-driven and detail-oriented with efficiency
- Highly proactive and analytical with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and is a self-starter and quick learner
- Excellent skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Bilingual in Chinese is a plus
