We are looking for a full time employee who has one of two qualifications
1) Previous history as a cashier at a liquor store
2) Someone with extensive knowledge of liquor/wine (used to work at southern etc) who also has some experience as a cashier
We will not be hiring anybody who does not have one of the the two, so please do not respond. We are looking for somebody to be a lead cashier who is capable of being on a closing shift, so this is a must.
We always have 2-4 workers at our store, and it is a friendly and safe environment.
We pay 20 dollars an hour, however, the 30 minute breaks are also on paid time, so it really comes out to more than 21 dollars an hour if you take that into account.
The main job is to be a cashier, but there is also other manual labor aspects to the job as well from time to time. This is a very fast paced store in the summer and we are looking for someone who can keep the customers smiling, but also understands the importance of having to handle transactions quickly and correctly. To be more specific, As long as you are saying hello, how are you and have a nice day with a good demeanor, and also not having minute conversations with every other conversation, we consider that satisfactory.
It is not ok to be on your phone. A quick glance here and there, sure, but If you have a problem with constantly looking at your phone on shift, again, please do not apply. We are looking for serious individuals who take their job seriously.
Please note that most schedules in the store are usually 5 days a week, and you will be likely working at least two days, if not all three, of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A lot of the shifts are till closing as well or an hour before. The store closes at 11 Sunday-Thursday and at midnight Friday and Saturday.
When you reply, most importantly, please break down how your previous work experiences fit either one of the two job history that we require(if it isn't already in the resume) Thank you, we look forward to hearing from you.
