JMF’s activities include management of our current portfolio, which includes, office and apartment buildings, and high-end residential beach rental homes in Malibu, CA. Seeking

JMF Development is looking for a dynamic, talented, and experienced Project Manager / Property Manager with strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills to be part of our growing team. The position will report to the Asset Manager of JMF Development. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to, running the daily operations and project management of the real estate portfolio, coordinating and overseeing the maintenance team, managing a short-term rental home portfolio in Malibu, managing film/production shoots throughout the real estate portfolio, and taking on additional projects as needed. The ideal candidate must have experience in both property management and project management, be self-motivated, professional, trustworthy, flexible, and able to multi-task. An interest in real estate, marketing, or related business is helpful.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all routine and emergency services for the properties which include but are not limited to gardening, landscaping, cleaning schedules, stocking, plumbing, electrical, pool, spa, HVAC, and other repairs and maintenance that are beyond the skill set of the Property Maintenance team.

Act as the point of contact for short-term rental properties in Malibu, CA including but not limited to, responding to guest bookings and inquiries via Airbnb, VRBO, etc., coordinating with vendors for any repairs, cleanings, maintenance, etc., and performing check-ins and check-outs for guests. In addition, conduct walkthroughs after guest check-outs and document any damages to the property.

Oversee the maintenance workers' schedules and daily/weekly tasks.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of short-term property rentals and regular rentals

Develop and manage a pipeline of photoshoots, video shoots, etc. for all properties and restaurants in the portfolio in line with Management’s revenue projections.

Implement and perform concierge services for the Malibu short-term rental properties including but not limited to coordinating personal chefs, reservations, transportation, etc.

Keep track of and maintain an up-to-date inventory of all items in properties.

Manage general inquiry messages and emails, from tenants, guests, and clients and coordinate and distribute correspondence.

Support Asset Manager as needed including assisting with calendaring and scheduling and day-to-day operations.

Execute ongoing projects including scheduling, follow-up, ordering, and payment for the real estate team and/or restaurant (Perch LA and Mrs. Fish) team.

Handle confidential tasks and additional projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

3 years of prior experience as a Project Manager,

3 years of prior experience as a Property Manager,

Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, strength in time management, and prioritization,

Ability to make decisions and adjust to changes while maintaining composure and managing other tasks and projects,

Ability to pick up on and implement new technologies quickly and efficiently,

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment,

Experience with independent projects as well as working with teams,

Ability to assess maintenance-related issues and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors as needed,

Ability to juggle multiple projects and schedules efficiently,

General knowledge and experience in maintenance and repairs in the operation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other essential household systems,

Ability to take direction, facilitate, plan, and remain calm under pressure,

Strong writing skills with the ability to compose professional letters, emails, and responses,

Ability to manage the demands of a variety of situations and people,

Possess a wide range of general office and administrative skills with the ability to maneuver through fluctuating priorities,

Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle for use as needed,

Capacity to work outside of the 9 am – 6:30 pm working hours and to work on weekends,

Excellent computer and technical skills: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office systems, Web Applications, and Office Equipment,

A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
