About the Role:
Yale Management Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced On-Site Resident Manager to oversee properties ranging from 22 to 71 units. This role includes an apartment and requires someone who is committed to maintaining the property, addressing tenant needs, and ensuring smooth daily operations. As the On-Site Resident Manager, you will be the first point of contact for tenants and play an essential role in the overall management of the property.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Cleaning & Maintenance: Ensure common areas are clean and well-maintained (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.) for a consistently attractive and welcoming environment.
Property Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct regular property walks to identify and address maintenance issues. Inspect vacant units and coordinate necessary repairs with vendors.
Tenant Relations & Communication: Handle tenant concerns and complaints professionally and promptly. Enforce lease terms while maintaining positive relationships.
Rent Collection & Financial Management: Collect rent payments, issue late notices when necessary, process invoices, and maintain accurate records of payments and work orders.
Property Advertising & Vacancy Management: Advertise available units, conduct apartment showings for prospective tenants, and assist with the leasing process.
Vendor & Maintenance Coordination: Manage vendors for various services and ensure timely repair and maintenance of building systems such as plumbing and HVAC.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of on-site property management experience (please include relevant experience in your resume).
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AppFolio is a plus (training available).
Ability to manage tenant relations, resolve complaints, and enforce property policies effectively.
A valid driver’s license is preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
