Home-based interior design firm is looking for a personal assistant/runner to pick up 2 kids (12 & 8) from school and help with the daily tasks associated with their interior design business. Applicants must be local to Los Angeles, live in relative proximity to Baldwin Hills and/or West Hollywood, and be familiar and comfortable driving around the Los Angeles area to various vendors, showrooms, project sites, and school/after-school activities. Please note this is NOT a design role, but you will be exposed to the inner workings of an interior design firm. We are looking for someone with a positive and upbeat attitude who can take initiative with a diverse range of tasks. Above all, we want someone responsible and dedicated who will transport our children safely home and will look after our interests as a valued part of the team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Transporting kids home from school in the afternoons (West Hollywood to Baldwin Hills) 4 to 5 days per week
General assistant help around the house with organizing, product ordering, online research, taking things to the donation center, etc.
Meeting various vendors at projects to ensure they have access to the project sites
Picking up from showrooms and vendors/returning: samples, rugs, fabrics, tile, etc.
Managing returns to UPS, FEDEX, etc.
Must have a clean driving record and background
Interest in interior design is a plus but not required
Additional languages spoken is a plus but by no means required
This is a part-time position. Hours can be flexible, but ideal hours are Monday through Friday (4 or 5 of those days) from around 12pm/1pm to 5pm/6pm. So you would start in the home office for a few hours and then pick up the kids from school in West Hollywood and then bring them back home.
Hourly rate will be determined by experience level and can be negotiated during the hiring process.
