Accounting Clerk/Assistant Office Manager

A highly specialized and prestigious family law firm of 17 attorneys is seeking an Accounting Clerk/Assistant Office Manager. This is an entry-level position and the successful candidate will be interested in a career in law office management. This position is in office only. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Enter data in accounting/billing program, generate client bills

Provide client billing information to attorneys as requested

Create and maintain accounts receivable, accounts payable and administration files

Administrative tasks/projects as assigned

Order and maintain kitchen and office supplies

Relieve the receptionist for breaks and lunches and all reception functions including:

Answer busy multi-line telephone switchboard and route calls to appropriate staff, transfer calls to voicemail or take accurate messages

Clear visitors with security, greet clients and visitors and announce appointment arrivals, offer beverages

Schedule conference rooms and provide requested amenities

Provide parking validations to approved recipients

Accept deliveries and route to recipient

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

Education: College Degree preferred

Experience: 1+ years of experience answering multi-line telephone switchboard for a law firm or other professional services experience strongly desired

Skills:

Excellent proofreading skills

Proficient with Word, WordPerfect, Excel and Outlook

Experience with accounting/billing programs is desirable but we are willing to train
