Foster a Rescue Dog and Save a Life This Holiday Season!

California, Los angeles, 90001 Los angeles USA
Aplica ya

Looking to spread extra love and joy this holiday season? Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is seeking passionate fosters to provide temporary or long-term homes for our rescue dogs. By fostering, you’ll not only save a dog from a high-kill shelter but also be part of their journey toward finding a forever family.

Fostering is an incredibly rewarding experience! We provide all the supplies, food, and medical care your foster dog needs. Plus, we offer a stipend to cover gas for medical appointments and adoption events. Whether you can commit long-term or just have a couple of weeks to spare this holiday season, we’d love to have you join our team!

What You Need to Know Before Signing Up:

Please read thoroughly before reaching out to ensure fostering is the right fit for you:

- Must be 21 years or older.

- No children under the age of 8 in the home.

- No small dogs or cats in the home (larger dogs are okay).

- Comfortable with larger dogs (50-90 lbs on average).

- Must be okay fostering shelter dogs with unknown backgrounds.

- Adoption events are mandatory: Attend every other Saturday at the Petco in West Hollywood (this is also when supplies and stipends are provided).

- Approval from all roommates, family members, landlords, etc., is required before fostering.

Why Fostering Matters:

Every day, countless dogs face euthanasia simply because shelters are overcrowded. By fostering, you give these dogs a safe and loving environment to decompress and heal. While some may come with quirks—like needing potty training or extra patience—you’ll see firsthand how love and care can transform a scared shelter dog into a happy, confident companion.

We are always looking for long-term fosters who can commit to at least a four-week minimum (ideally until the dog is adopted) so the dogs don’t have to move around so much. However, we’re also happy to have fosters who can help out short-term for emergencies or the holidays. A one- to two-week commitment can still save a life!

Why Foster During the Holidays?

There’s no better way to spread holiday cheer than by giving a rescue dog a warm and loving place to call home. Whether you’re curled up watching holiday movies or taking a winter walk, fostering is a wonderful way to share the joy of the season.

Interested? Here’s How to Apply:

Email us with your name, phone number, and personal email address (Craigslist generates a fake email, so we need your real one).

Help us make this holiday season magical for our rescue dogs. Together, we can save lives—one wagging tail at a time!
