Location: Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Chatsworth, Northridge, Canoga Park
Job Overview:
Our client, a renowned aerospace company, is seeking dedicated Mechanical and Electrical Quality Inspectors to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the production of aerospace components and systems.
Responsibilities:
Inspection of Components: Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical and electrical parts using precision measuring tools, visual inspection techniques, and testing equipment.
Quality Control: Ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Documentation: Accurately document inspection results, maintain records, and report any quality issues to management.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, quality control procedures, and company policies.
Problem Solving: Identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and suggest improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance product quality.
Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and other quality team members to resolve quality concerns.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience:
o Mechanical Quality Inspector: At least 3 years of experience in mechanical quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, particularly in aerospace or similar high-precision industries.
o Electrical Quality Inspector: At least 3 years of experience in electrical quality inspection, with a solid understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and testing methods.
Skills:
o Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, CMM, and other inspection tools.
o Strong understanding of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
o Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect minute discrepancies.
o Good communication skills for reporting and collaborating across departments.
o Basic computer skills for data entry, report generation, and using quality management software.
Additional Qualifications:
Certification such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent is a plus.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
