Job Description:
We are seeking a process- and detail-oriented Operations Foreman to join our team. This role includes responsibility for overseeing a small team and working hands-on in production, packaging, shipping, and inventory management. The position will also require communication with salespeople, other parts of the logistics organization, and the software engineering team to ensure products are produced properly and get to clients when needed.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent organizational and process skills, have a ‘can do’ attitude, and demonstrate a strong commitment to efficiency, safety, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Production: Ensure products are produced accurately and efficiently.
Quality Assurance: Inspect products according to SOPs to ensure they meet specifications.
Packaging: Ensure products are packaged efficiently and accurately.
Logistics Coordination: Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities, including scheduling deliveries, arranging transportation, and tracking shipments.
Warehouse Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control processes, including receiving, stocking, and organizing materials to optimize warehouse space and workflow.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipping documents, and compliance documentation to facilitate smooth operations and regulatory compliance.
Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, including regular inspections and minor repairs as needed.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and meet operational goals.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings in warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in warehouse operations, packaging, logistics, or a related field strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as packaging, inventory management, and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn communication and warehouse management software systems.
Physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as needed.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
Compensation
$45,000 - $55,000/year + fully paid platinum health, dental, and vision insurance for the employee
