Kelly Services is hiring Sheetmetal Mechanic - Temp to Hire Positions!Schedule:Monday - Friday 1st shift 5:30am-2:30pm (overtime as required)Pay Rate:$22.00 - $24.00 per hour.A leading aerospace subcontractor specializing in precision-machined structural aircraft components and assemblies for commercial and defense customers worldwide, is seeking skilled Sheetmetal Mechanics for a temporary to hire opportunity.Position SummaryUnder close supervision, you will perform various machining operations to efficiently produce quality parts/metal sheets according to customer specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate, assemble, and work with sheet metal, TRE Metal, or Soundwich panels and assemblies using existing tooling.Follow sketches, blueprints, verbal and written instructions, and shop travelers to accomplish work assignments.Perform trimming, forming, contouring, goring, aligning, mating, fitting, and straightening operations.Utilize precision measuring instruments, hand, and power tools, and operate basic shop machines.Notify supervision of faulty equipment and safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.Make calculations and plot points on Statistical Process Control charts, interpreting data patterns.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of machining or related experience, orover 1 month of directly related training through a technical school or college.Aptitude to learn setup and operation of machines, including cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch.Knowledge of shop math and proper use of inspection tools.Ability to read and understand written plans and follow verbal instructions.Physical RequirementsAbility to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force.Capable of prolonged periods of standing and repetitive use of hands.May involve sitting, walking, bending, crawling, climbing, reaching, crouching, kneeling, balancing, grasping, pushing, or pulling.If you possess the required skills and experience and are ready to contribute to our mission of delivering precision aerospace components, please submit your resume to [email protected].
