General Labor/ Machine Operator

Full time – Temp to hire
2 shifts – Day & Swing - Monday thru Friday
Day - 6am to 2:30pm
Swing - 2:15pm to 10:45pm
$20 to $25hr depending on experience.
Busy manufacturing company and leading supplier of standard and custom hinges to the aerospace industry, specializing in a proprietary drilling technique to manufacture complex, close tolerance long hinge lengths at very tight tolerances across a variety of materials including titanium, aluminum, stainless steel and bronze is looking for a Machine Operator/General Laborer to join their team in Burbank.
Summary: Basic set up and operation of various machines, hand tools, and pneumatic tools. This equipment is used to deburr, slot, drill and cut metal. The metals used in these operations are aluminum.
Responsibilities:
Clock on and off jobs accurately in an electronic clocking system.
Read and understand manufacturing orders.
Use various measuring equipment to verify accuracy.
Operate various tooling fixtures and machines, saws, grinders, drills, belt sanders, slotters, and shears.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
Load and unload equipment and materials.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
Log and record readings for equipment and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a machine shop experience preferred.
Familiarity with plant tools and equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Must be able to work OT as required.
Must be punctual and reliable.
Ability to handle physical workload.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned.
