We are looking for a punch press and power brake operator for manufacturing aerospace and commercial parts following AS9100 standards with the ability to review blueprints and drawings to determine set-up procedures, machine sequences, and dimensions. At Jay Manufacturing, we rely on our skilled employees and dynamic shop to help bring innovative concepts to life. This being an entry-level position, you will be expected to do the following after completing training.
Reading blueprints, drawings, etc., to understand the specifications of the task at hand and the desired result.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
Prepare a test run to check if the machine produces outputs according to the specifications and results desired.
Maintain attention to detail.
Inspect and assess the accuracy and thoroughness of work.
Work in a proficient, thorough, and timely manner independently and as part of a team.
Loading and unloading trucks through the use of a forklift.
Follow general safety regulations for self and the work environment.
Requirements:
Some building trade, shop, and/or warehouse experience preferred.
Good organizational skills.
A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential.
The ability to work with great concentration and precision.
Basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills relative to the industry, including understanding, reading, and writing English.
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), three or more years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is needed.
The ability to show up on time and be at work daily.
Ability to maintain the work area and equipment clean and orderly.
