Job Purpose

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Electro-mechanics purpose is to assume the responsibility for

the day-to-day maintenance activities involving rPlanet Earth's utility equipment and production machinery through

MAXIMO, maintaining optimal efficiency and avoiding downtime.

Essential Responsibilities

Understands and identify EHS Hazards, risks, and controls of the operations and activities at the site.

Drive the creation and improvement of Lockout tag out, Safe Work Permit, Work instructions, and Job validation.

Leads by example- conforming with all rPlanet Earth’s policies and procedures.

Leads all mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, critical repairs, and major rebuilds.

Be able to create SOPs and document knowledge shares for the department and provides feedback.

Coordinate and execute all planned maintenance activities according to schedule through MAXIMO app and platform.

Provide detailed part information need to complete part replacement.

Ensure parts are properly documented following the Inventory process established by Parts room coordinator.

Properly allocate resources to machine down based on criticality established by Production.

Manage team member’s lunches and breaks.

Recommend and coordinate with machine shops for repairs following work order request for PO generation.

knowledge of PLC troubleshooting skills

Ensures the success of all operational and maintenance metrics, including delivery, productivity improvement, equipment, and parts inventory, and quality program.

Drive rapid problem-solving/root cause analysis from the production floor.

Participates in reliability daily meetings and able to execute action plans.

Excellent communication skills.

Detail-oriented and accurate, able to multitask and prioritize workload.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

Proficient with Microsoft applications – strong understanding of MS Excel

Excellent organizational, analytical, investigation, problem-solving, communication skills, and be a team player.

Must meet deadlines and deliver quality results.

Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, complexity, and work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Able to work overtime as required and work for 12 hours on required shift work.

It is the responsibility of every employee including temp workers to immediately report to Management the discovery of contamination in any area of the production facility that constitutes a risk to product and/or personnel safety.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with exceptions to the recycling side.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

Qualifications

High School diploma +5 years in one of the following: Sheet extrusion, Thermoforming, Injection Molding, or Recycling. +8 years of industrial maintenance in which 3 years dedicated to leadership and supervision.

Or 2 years education in a technical field + 12 years in which 3 years dedicated to leadership and supervision.

Or Bachelor’s degree + 10 years of experience in which 3 years dedicated to leadership and supervision.

CMMS 3 years minimum required (executing, and completing work orders)

Thorough understanding of manufacturing plant operations (industry experience must include manufacturing).

Must be able to read and write in English, as well as basic proficiency in math.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service and communication skills.

Ability to read complex drawings and perform simple mathematics is required.

Ability to lift, push, pull 10 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis required.

Ability to wear a hard hat, steel-toed shoes and other PPE required.

Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, squat, climb a ladder, bend, climb and reach on a regular basis is required.

Pay range

The anticipated salary range for this position is $33.00 to $40.00 per hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, recent years of experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business needs, scope and level.

Remaining openings:

Morning Shift, 7am - 5:30pm, Sunday-Thursday (8 hours)

M2 Shift - 7PM - 7AM (rotating weekends) (12-hours)
