Job Title: BuyerSummary: As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials, goods, and services to meet the company's operational needs. You will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products or services at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.Responsibilities:Source and purchase materials, goods, and services according to company requirements and specifications.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products, prices, and services.Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.Review and analyze purchase requisitions, requests for quotes, and purchase orders to determine the best sourcing strategy.Collaborate with internal departments such as production, engineering, and logistics to understand their procurement needs and requirements.Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns related to quality, delivery, or pricing.Manage supplier relationships and maintain a vendor database with accurate information on pricing, lead times, and quality standards.Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements that may impact procurement processes.Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize purchasing processes and reduce expenses.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.Proven experience as a buyer, procurement specialist, or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or retail industry.Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications.Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement and purchasing processes.This job description outlines the primary duties and qualifications expected of a Buyer.
