POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will coordinate and manage all aspects of events including, but not limited to, coordination, promotion, logistics, and execution. Seeking a good team player.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage various aspects of in-person or virtual events including venue sourcing, online webinar

platform setup, guest list, room setup, seating, vendor/speaker payments, audiovisual, catering,

staffing, run-of-the-show, etc.

Create event websites, registration websites, and follow-up emails to manage registrations/RSVPs.

Create/Edit/Review presentation materials for events including slides, photos, videos, etc.

Oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors, and managing take-down.

Create and distribute post-event/webinar reports.

Provide facility tours to vendors and partners.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Japanese and English language proficiency — Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing in Japanese and English.

- Schedule flexibility — Must be able to work longer hours and weekends based on project deadlines and schedules.

- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs without assistance

- Must be extremely organized to be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Leadership skills to manage event staff members

- Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project; Adobe Reader.

- Video editing skills

- Basic knowledge of standard audiovisual equipment setups

- Experience with SurveyMonkey, Swoogo, MailChimp, and Zoom Webinar is a plus.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

- Japanese & English bilingual required.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management, or relevant field, otherwise, work experience in the related field is required.

- California Food Handler Card (CFH Card) a plus.
