Alyce’s Art Studio started in 2011 in Manhattan Beach offering fine art drawing and painting classes for children and teens. We believe in the power of art to transform, heal, inspire and connect.
We are seeking an energetic, talented and fun loving art teacher who is capable of connecting positively with our community.
Responsibilities:
- Lead fine art drawing and painting classes for children and teens in small groups
- Participate in studio organization, maintenance and clean-up
- Interact with parents before and after class (scheduling, collecting tuition).
- Be available for weekend events and parties ( a few times a year)
- Run Sunday birthday parties alongside another staff member.
Requirements:
- Must have or be working towards a degree in art.
- Ability to draw and paint realistically.
- Advanced knowledge of traditional fine art technique in the following media (all drawing media, watercolor, acrylic, oil) and the following genres (landscape, still life, figure drawing, etc).
- Excellent communication skills & customer service.
- Ability to teach using POSITIVE reinforcement.
- Ability to maintain an energetic and upbeat teaching pace.
- Fast learner, able to adhere to our teaching methods.
- Ability to work independently.
- Recommended commute time less than 20 mins each direction.
-Reliable transportation.
-Ability to pass a background check
Hours:
- Beginning immediately:
- TRAIN for 2-4 weeks
- Part-time and Full time opportunities
