ArtSmart Inc. is an art business consulting firm founded by a former Director of David Zwirner and Sotheby's Professor. We offer products and services to artists, galleries & art organizations to help with with all aspects of their business.
Not only do we provide bookkeeping specific to the art industry, we also have the ArtSmart Online Database for artists/galleries which is an affordable archive as well as invoice/consignment agreement generator.
We are looking for a summer marketing intern to help with the recently launched ArtSmart Kit. It's an online, digital business/career guide for artists, complete with animated infographics and downloadable tools, teaching necessary business concepts & art world practices to creative people in their language.
This would be an unpaid internship for college/graduate credit, and it offers excellent experience in the fields of art, marketing and tech.
The internship would be 15 hours per week, beginning the end of May through the end of August.
Marketing Assistant duties include:
Help sell/brand The ArtSmart Kit by researching about online advertising as well as in-person marketing opportunities targeting artists. Help us strategize our marketing plan-of-attack!
Weekly data-entry of artist's emails
Conduct in-person marketing to artists at artist-based art fairs, on-campus events, and artist-studio compounds and their surrounding hubs.
We are located in Silverlake but are open to people who can work remotely.
