About Pacific West Academy:
Pacific West Academy is a premier Executive Protection and Bodyguard Training School offering elite instruction in executive protection, firearms, and combatives. We are seeking a passionate, serious, and results-driven part-time Marketing Associate to help capture and communicate the power and professionalism of our programs through digital media.
Position Overview:
This is primarily an in-house role (approx. 20 hours/week), but for the right candidate — someone highly skilled and self-sufficient — we’re open to flexible arrangements where some of the work can be done remotely. You’ll be responsible for developing social media content, capturing real-world training footage, editing videos, and supporting digital marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture and edit engaging video/photo content of live training, range days, and student activities
Manage and grow social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)
Operate in-house gear: DJI Osmo Pocket, Sony FX6, and Drone
Edit using professional tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve)
Write and design quarterly newsletters using Mailchimp
Contribute to blog writing and SEO optimization (a plus, not required)
Collaborate closely with the team to maintain consistent, high-quality brand presence
Travel locally for content shoots (reliable transportation required)
Required:
Strong portfolio of edited videos or managed social media accounts
Skilled with DSLR/pro-level cameras and drones
Proficient in at least one professional video editing software
Familiar with content trends and social media best practices
Based near Van Nuys with ability to work in-house part-time
Reliable transportation for off-site shoots
Passionate, dependable, and results-oriented
Preferred (Not Required):
Experience in executive protection, firearms, tactical, or related industries
Familiarity with Mailchimp, WordPress
Knowledge of Google Ads or Facebook Ads
Experience using SEO tools like SearchAtlas
Work Flexibility:
While the role requires regular in-person presence at the school, we’re open to hybrid arrangements for candidates who demonstrate a high level of independence, skill, and reliability.
