We are creating a series of videos with litigation attorneys about asset protection strategies that have failed. The videos could also be used to promote your services as a litigator in case they need help.
I litigated for over twenty years before deciding to mediate with couples and families. In my experience, I found that the single best asset protection for most couples and families was 1) to get as much insurance as they can; 2) to heal the family and create stronger bonds with one another to prevent divorce and post-testamentary litigation.
I want to create a series of short videos, explaining why these "I'll help you shield your assets"-type strategies don't work, and that most people would be far better served to work on their familial relationships instead.
The topics of conversation would include their personal experience, as well as fraudulent transfers, risks of traditional asset protection, limitations of how trusts can be used to shield assets from creditors.
