Regional Facilities Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for providing general and specialized maintenance, repair and support services to maintain the professional appearance and safety of campus classrooms, offices and common areas. May require some evening and weekend work as well as driving to local campuses throughout LA county. With strong leadership skills, a proven track record of managing crews and knowledgeable in the construction field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Troubleshoots and repairs facility equipment involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
Troubleshoots and repairs furniture, office machinery, and other equipment as needed.
Responds to work requests, documents the problem, and establishes timeline for resolution.
Provides support for general building maintenance and repairs including painting, light bulb replacement, door and/or lock replacements, installing wall hangings, staff moves, etc.
Works with supervisor to maintain proper procedures for fire, safety, hazardous materials, general operations and other manuals.
Maintains inventory of all tools and equipment in the department.
Performs back-up support for general cleaning.
Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Working knowledge of electric, plumbing, HVAC and basic construction or previous work experience required. Certified in at least one of these specialized functions, preferably HVAC.
Good interpersonal skills required.
Demonstrated Computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word and Outlook.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum three years hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building mechanical systems.
Must have a clean driving record.
