The Role
The primary responsibility of the nanny is to provide quality childcare. The nanny’s aim is to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where the children can thrive and develop, both as sole and shared charge. They are also expected to help around the house, ensuring a tidy environment, and assist the mother where needed.
Flexibility and a team approach is crucial as the nanny will be tag teaming with the mom and wearing all the hats the mom does. One day could consist of driving the older kids, then staying home and putting the 6-year-old to bed while mom entertains the older kids. There will be coordinating with the mother and helping drive the kids to activities. When not busy with kids or while kids are at activity, errands such as grocery shopping, amazon returns, gift purchasing, etc. will be needed.
The nanny should also be able to connect with the two older children, as sometimes as you will be driving them to an activity and in the car for lengths of time. Major bonus for someone into baking, creative with crafts, sports, and/or skincare, as that would be helpful in interaction with the two older children.
Care of the 6-year-old child includes assistance feeding dinner (dinner prepared by someone else), active play, and bathtime/evening routine. The care of 6-year-old will be occasional if mom is out with the other kids or mom is busy.
Bonus if the nanny also speaks Spanish. Additionally, a plus if the nanny is interested in occasional travel with the family.

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Bel Air)
Hours: Monday – Friday; 4pm-8pm; 20 hours per week guaranteed; flexibility preferred, if the candidate would like to start at 2:30pm on some days, that would be ideal; possibility of more hours if desired – up to 30 hours – including weekend driving help, if more hours are desired.
Salary: Starting at $35 per hour DOE
Benefits: PTO, Sick days, Major federal holidays, will consider a small monthly medical stipend
The Family: Dad, Mom, 3 kids (14, 11, and 6-years-old)
The House: home in the Bel Air area of Los Angeles

Childcare
Efficiently managing and working with the mother on weekly schedules, ensuring school events and activities are planned for and coordinating extra circular activities and appointments
Organizing play dates, activities, and outings to socialize, educate, and engage the children during term time and school holidays
Assisting with educational development (i.e. engaging them with homework, school projects, language development, etc.), particularly during the school holidays
Knowing when to step-in and step-out
Light Cleaning & Laundry
Tidying the children’s bedroom and play areas to ensure all games, books, toys, etc. are picked up, cleaned, and stored in their proper location
Tidying the kitchen after preparing meals
Assist with laundering, and putting away clothes for the children
Supplies and Belongings
Restocking necessary childcare items
Keeping supplies neatly stored
Supporting the Family & Team
Assisting with ad hoc projects around the home and helping the mother as needed
Requirements
Strong command of English language
Must have a clean valid Driver’s License, driving record must be spotless, with own car to travel to and from work.
Must be confident enough to drive the children/principals as this is an important aspect of the role (the family will provide the vehicle for work purposes)
Legally able to work within the United States
Lives in the surrounding area
Minimum 5 years working in a similar role
First Aid/ CPR trained
Excellent references required
Happy to have a background check run (criminal & driver)
Happy to sign a confidentiality agreement and non-disclosure agreement before starting work with the family.
