We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Trimmer to join our team. The Meat Trimmer will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products according to company specifications, ensuring quality standards are met. This position requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of meat processing, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Trim, cut, and debone meat from various cuts, including beef, pork, poultry, and lamb, according to customer specifications.
-Inspect meat cuts for quality, ensuring they meet company and industry standards for safety and hygiene.
-Safely and effectively use knives, saws, and other tools to trim and prepare meat products.
-Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
-Properly label and package meat products for distribution.
-Assist with other tasks in the meat processing area, including sorting and grading meat, as needed.
-Follow all company policies and procedures related to meat handling, food safety, and sanitation.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience as a meat trimmer or in a related position is required.
-Food safety training or certification is a plus.
-Knowledge of proper meat-cutting techniques and tools.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish quality cuts of meat.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
-Comfortable working with raw meat and meat processing equipment
-Strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and food safety regulations.
-Ability to work well as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to stand for long periods.
-Repeated use of hands and arms for cutting and trimming.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
-Ability to work in cold, refrigerated environments
-Long term temp to hire must pass E-Verify
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND POSSIBLE 8+ HOUR SHIFTS.
