Job description:
HOA property located in a beautiful, historic rural community in Agoura is looking for a General Laborer/ Maintenance Groundskeeper.
Seeking a reliable and hardworking Crew Member to join our team. This position works with a supervisor and is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the community’s lake, facilities, and landscaped grounds. Work will primarily take place outdoors in a peaceful, natural setting.
Responsibilities
General Maintenance
Perform repairs and upkeep for clubhouse and other buildings: painting, patching and light carpentry.
Maintain cleanliness of common areas by removing trash and debris (including pool and tennis court areas)
Provide support for community events and setups and breakdowns
Groundskeeping
Brush clearing, edge pathways, and trim hedges and trees
Maintain flower beds, seasonal planting, and weed control
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (trimmers, blowers, tow and collect)
Water plants and assist with irrigation system maintenance
Handle seasonal duties such as leaf removal and storm debris cleanup
Assist in preparations before storms and cleanup after storms (drain clearing, mud clean up)
Lake & Water Features
Monitor and report water quality issues (algae, clarity, etc.)
Assist in dredging or sediment removal projects
Remove debris and trash from common areas, lake banks and water surface
Maintain lakefront landscaping and erosion control barriers
Coordinate with third-party aquatic management contractors as needed
Additional Duties
Conduct routine inspections of grounds, facilities, and equipment
Drive company vehicles for supply runs or site visits
Respond to board and community maintenance requests
Follow safety procedures and properly maintain tools and equipment
Qualifications
Prior experience in maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping
Knowledge of basic tools, plumbing, and landscaping equipment
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
Reports to crew supervisor and coordinates and works well as a team.
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred due to the needs of the community.
