Summary of Position:
Bluestone Development is a construction company based in Los Angeles, California specializing in custom homes. We are looking for a highly experienced self-starter to assist in managing the construction of homes and commercial spaces throughout Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and execute high-end residential construction projects from conception to completion;
Understand and implement modern construction methods and best practices;
Be on-site daily to coordinate the development of construction projects throughout Los Angeles County;
Help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification;
Keep daily log reports of all on-site activity;
Report directly to the General Contractor regarding on-site job status and issues related to the projects;
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to ensure project objectives are met;
Maintain job site safety and meet all applicable OSHA guidelines;
Ensure job site is kept in clean condition;
Assist with material procurement for projects as needed;
Oversee details and quality control throughout the construction process;
Drive dump trucks as needed;
Obtain necessary permits and licenses;
Coordinate and communicate with client throughout construction in a professional manner to guarantee client satisfaction
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in construction project management;
Knowledge in various types of construction methods and practices in California;
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Attention to detail when working on drawings and field construction;
Experience leading and managing the work of others;
Working knowledge of California building codes;
Ability to drive dump trucks;
Valid, unexpired driver's license with satisfactory driving record and ability to travel;
Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
