Mechanic experience requirements
Typically, Mechanics need two to three years of experience working with vehicles in some capacity. This experience can be acquired through an internship. An intermediate or advanced apprenticeship also provides relevant experience. An interest in working with vehicles and a strong foundation in repair and maintenance is required.
