Summary of Work:
As a Stemar Company Driver your primary responsibility would be delivering and picking up rental equipment from construction jobsites. Your secondary responsibilities (when not driving) would include company truck and rental equipment maintenance.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Company Driver
As a Stemar Company Driver you increase the level of customer service we provide by directly interacting with customers; delivering/picking up equipment from jobsites and picking up materials from company vendors throughout southern California. You are the face of our company to our customers.
When not driving you would assist with loading and unloading of trucks as well as performing preventive maintenance on rental equipment. You will also be called to perform regular cleaning, maintenance, organizing, and other general labor duties in the warehouse and on request from management.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Deliver and pickup to/from customers in Stemar company trucks
- Help warehouse staff with loading and unloading of equipment
- Maintain rental equipment in good working order and in clean, presentable condition
- Maintain company trucks in good working order and in clean, presentable condition
- Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid California driver’s license
- Clean driving record (bring DMV printout of 3 years history)
- 2+ years of experience with company truck driving in the LA area
- Knowledge of how to properly secure truck loads with strapping, ratchets, etc.
- Mechanically minded, good with hands, hand tools.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments, flexibility with work assignments
- Personal and professional integrity
- Must be physically fit enough to work 8 hours a day in outside warehouse conditions (hot in summer, cold in winter) and occasionally lift/move equipment up to 90 lbs
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS (not required but we like to see these)
-Prior experience in construction or hand tools
-Prior experience with sit down forklifts
-Prior warehouse experience

Work Schedule + Compensation:
FULL TIME, 40+ HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
COMPENSATION: $20 / hour + benefits.
