Essential Role Functions
· Perform daily vehicle inspection report.
· Ability to work in fast paced environment, Maneuvering and handling of products repetitively.
· Ability to meet physical demands of the job (Lifting/Carrying up to 35lbs, etc.)
· Follow all DOT regulations and standards.
· Drivers are expected to load/unload by hand and or with electrical pallet jacks.
· Excellent customer communication and service skills.
· Ability to navigate safely and efficiently to designated addresses.
· Ensure proper loading and securing of goods for transportation.
· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
· Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations (federal, state, and local) while operating the vehicle.
· Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic and weather conditions.
· Communicate effectively with supervisor and customers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that may arise.
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
· Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions with the delivery vehicle promptly to the Supervisor/Manager.
· Ability to work flexible work schedule and shifts, including weekends if needed.
Work Experience Requirements/Qualifications for This Role
· High school diploma/GED or equivalent
· Must have a valid State-Issued Driver’s License
· 1 year driving Class C bobtail trucks or related experience
· Ability to demonstrate initiative and to work with minimum supervision
· Load and Unload trucks
· Carrying/Lifting cargo 25-35lbs
· Ensuring proof of delivery confirmation (Invoice/Bill of Lading)
