We are a fresh herb grower and have our own packing warehouse with about 150 employees. We are looking for an HR Generalist/ Coordinator who is fully bilingual. About 90% of our employees only speak Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Payroll reporting and processing using iSolved, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation
- Handle employee relations counseling; outplacement counseling and exit interviewing
- Interpreting and administering leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws FMLA, CFRA, workers compensation etc.
- Periodically visit our Santa Paula and Fillmore locations
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 Years experience
- Fluent English and Spanish
- AS/AA minimum HR degree (BS/BA preferred but not required)
- Must have HR Certification
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to speak in front of small and large groups of employees
- Must have strong computer skills, and have experience using Dropbox
- Must have experience in conflict resolution, ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up when necessary
Must have knowledge on the following:
- State employment Law, as well as federal, state and local government regulations
- EEOC
- Payroll (using iSolved preferred)
- Must have knowledge in agricultural labor laws and regulations
