JOB SUMMARY
Seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant to support the operations of the organization's HR department for 8 different locations, over 700 employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Full cycle recruitment: create job postings, conduct phone screenings, and in-person interviews.
Conduct new hire onboarding.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, records, and documentation.
Administer time and attendance process timesheets, timeclock maintenance, reports.
FMLA administration, documentation, and communications with staff.
File Worker’s Compensation claims with carrier, follow up with clinic and employee, and keep record of incoming
injury status updates.
Assists in development of safety policies and procedures of the organization.
Ensure safety procedures are within OSHA and other state, local, or agriculture specific regulations.
Assists in creating and performing revisions to policies in the organization’s employee handbook.
Conduct presentations on regulations for employees at the different locations.
Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum three years of hands-on experience
Bilingual in Spanish
Knowledgeable with wage and hour regulations.
Knowledge of workers compensation and injury process
Having good communication and coordination skills is essential for this position. Should be proficient in identifying issues and solving people’s problems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
