Are you a compassionate and dedicated caregiver looking for a rewarding opportunity?
We are seeking a live-in caregiver for my mother, an 75 year old stroke survivor who is half-paralyzed. The salary for this position is $50,000 per year, with the expectation of working 5 days a week. A private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and free parking will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing basic caregiving duties such as clothes changing, diaper changes, meal preparation, medication, maintaining cleanliness, dishes, and laundry.
- Guidance through daily physical, occupational, and cognitive therapy exercises you will learn from her therapists.
- Driving to therapies and doctor's appointments.
Requirements:
- Experience with transfers, especially for heavier individuals (approximately 160 pounds).
- Proactive attitude - Ability to take initiative in motivating, enacting, and evolving regular therapy, exercise, and activities.
- Excellent communication skills and attunement to my mothers condition, personal requirements and growth potential
- Availability for approximately 5 days a week. We have a weekend caregiver. Other occasional relief from a supplementary caregiver is possible.
- Must have your own car and a valid drivers license. You will use our car for her rides but still will need your own. This is non-negotiable - please do not apply if you do not have your own vehicle.
- Must be able to relocate and live in with us.
