Job description
BGMG Cosmetics a Cosmetic / Plastic Surgery practice is seeking a Female Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fabulous team. The nurse works closely with the surgeon(s), office manager, and all office staff to coordinate and manage a steady volume of cosmetic surgical patients in both the pre- and post-operative phases of care. The ideal candidate is a polished professional with a strong work ethic and both exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinates pre-surgical patient visits
Ensures pre-operative medical clearances are completed for patients undergoing surgery.
Educates patient and family with regard to surgical procedure and recovery
Performs routine office documentation (pre- and post-operative notes, history and physical examinations, writing routine surgical orders)
Calls in patient prescriptions
Performs follow-up phone calls with all surgical patients as needed
Performs initial post-operative follow-up visits with surgeon, including suture and drain removal and patient education
Triages and manages pre- and post-operative phone calls
Sets up and assists surgeon in all office-based procedures
Assists with ordering implants, supplies, materials as needed
Maintains medical office supply levels and orders supplies/medications as needed
Arranges for biohazard waste pickup as needed
