About the Role:
As our Lead Veterinary Assistant, you'll be a vital part of a team that provides around-the-clock care to animals in need. You’ll support doctors, care for patients through every stage of treatment, and help ensure our hospital runs smoothly and safely. Your Daily Impact Will Include:
Administering medications and IV fluids with care and accuracy
Taking X-rays and assisting with radiology procedures
Performing dental cleanings and assisting in surgeries
Monitoring animal behavior, vital signs, and post-operative recovery
Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records
Restocking and organizing medications and supplies
Keeping all areas of the hospital clean, safe, and ready for emergencies
What We’re Looking For:
Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays (shifts are 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Willingness to work occasional overtime, rotating schedules, or extended shifts
Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes with confidence and care
Ability to lift 40+ pounds, and remain on your feet for long periods
Excellent organizational skills, emotional maturity, and a calm presence under pressure
Genuine passion for animals and a deep sense of responsibility for their well-being
Must not have allergies to animals, cleaning agents, or environmental factors
