I’m a mid-30s male quadriplegic seeking a skilled, dependable live-in caregiver for our North Hollywood home. This part-time position offers premium compensation and private housing. We value kindness, respect, and inclusivity and want someone who feels like family. We also have a friendly one-year-old orange cat.
What the Job Entails:
You’ll assist with my morning and nighttime routines as well as occasional outings.
Morning Routine (Monday – Friday, 2 to 4 hours per day depending on the day): Assist with stretching, bathing, toileting, dressing, and transferring to my wheelchair; Light housekeeping (laundry, tidying up, etc.)
Nighttime Routine (3 nights per week, 30-45 minutes per night); Assist with getting ready for bed and transferring from my chair to bed.
Occasional overnight stays if my partner is traveling (on-call, meaning you’ll be sleeping but available if needed)
Occasional assistance with appointments & outings (must have a valid driver’s license)
Compensation & Benefits:
$22–$27/hour, based on experience and skill level.
Estimated monthly pay: $2,200–$2,800+, depending on hours worked and experience. Paid time off.
Private housing includes a spacious, fully furnished 600 sq. ft. ADU with a bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom
Utilities & internet included
If needed for overnight, a flat extra stipend per night will be paid, in addition to hourly wages for any active care
Paid training is provided, though this role requires experience. I’ll train you on my specific care routine.
Your daytime (12 noon til bedtime) is free for another job, school, or personal time. I have different caregivers for the afternoons and evenings.
Who We’re Looking For:
Reliable, detail-oriented caregiver with experience working with quadriplegics, spinal cord injuries, and mobility impairments.
Proficient in mobility assistance and transfers, with Hoyer lift experience preferred.
Strong understanding of personal care routines and comfortable with personal care and maintaining a respectful household dynamic.
Must pass background check, provide references.
