Position: In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Worker
Location: Canoga Park, CA
Hours: 40+ hours per week
Schedule: Split schedule: 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Job Summary:
I am seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Worker to provide care and supervision for a 19-year-old individual with special needs, as well as assist with the care and supervision of a 9-year-old and 14-year-old. This is a full-time position requiring over 40 hours per week with a split schedule.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, assistance with daily activities, and supervision for a 19-year-old with special needs.
Assist with the care and supervision of a 9-year-old and 14-year-old.
Support with household tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
Help with transportation to appointments, school, and activities.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all children.
Administer medications as needed and according to care plans.
Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents that occur.
Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with special needs.
Experience caring for children of various ages.
Patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
Reliable and punctual.
Ability to work a split schedule: 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM - 8:30 PM.
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Background check and references required.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
