Position: Enrollment Specialist
Primary Responsibilities: The Enrollment Specialist will provide enrollment assistance (including but not limited to completing coverage applications, gathering required documents, and troubleshooting the enrollment process) for uninsured adults to access subsidized, low-cost and free health insurance programs through the health insurance marketplace, Medi-Cal Program Eligibility (MAGI and Non-MAGI) & Annual Redeterminations, Covered California Open Enrollment & Program Changes, Kaiser Permanente Community Health Care Programs .
The Enrollment Specialist will explain the options available to the patient, and directly assist with the application and enrollment processes. The Enrollment Specialist will provide a safe and confidential environment for patients and families.
Qualifications:
Ability to convey a positive and professional image while maintaining contact with focus audience.
Self-motivated, flexible and a team player, must have the ability to work independently, yet know when to ask questions.
Must be well organized, have excellent phone/people skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage databases and spreadsheets.
Must have strong computer skills and effective communication skills a plus, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
Available to work some evenings and weekends.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Education: High school diploma or work experience in a relevant position.
