REM California, part of Sevita, has 6 Adult Group Homes in the San Fernando Valley area providing direct support for adults with developmental disabilities (such as Autism, Down's Syndrome, cerebral palsy, etc.). Our DSP/Caregivers assist the individuals with activities of daily living, de-escalate behaviors and follow behavioral plans, go on outings in the community, and cover the household duties in these group homes. We are hiring now for our DSP positions and we have a lot to offer our staff!
Pay rate for these homes: $17.98 to $20 per hour - only depends on which home you work in, each home has a different pay rate.

Position Requirements:
Proof of completing High school diploma or G.E.D. (or higher education)
At least one year experience working directly with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; also working with individuals with behavioral issues required
Must have both DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2 certifications completed - we can help candidates who have sufficient experience to complete these certifications but must be done before they can start working in the program
Valid CA Driver's License; also - must have had driver's license for at least one year (in any US state)
18 years or older
Pass background check/fingerprinting, DMV Driver record review, reference checks, and physical and TB test (we cover the cost of these services)
