LaMar’s Haven is a limited liability company and residential treatment program dedicated to providing quality care to adults aged 60 and over with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking reliable individuals who are empathetic and passionate about caring for others. Job Responsibilities:
Preparing meals, cleaning, assisting with medication administration, self-care assistance if needed or requested, documenting clients’ daily progress, and accompanying/ transporting residents to appointments and recreational activities. Ensuring the overall safety of clients at all times.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
Direct Support Professional (DSP) certifications (preferred)- Must complete Year 1 training within the first year and Year 2 training within 2nd year of employment (required)
CPR Certification (preferred) - Can be completed after employment
Clearances (TB, criminal record, and health screening, fingerprinting required)
CPI Certification (preferred) – Can be completed after employment
Ability to communicate effectively (i.e., verbally and written)
Ability to respect confidentiality of all clients, staff, and facility records
Valid driver’s license- You may be required to drive clients to appointments, day programs, and schedule activities.
Experience:
Direct Support Professional: 1-2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
CA Driver's License (Preferred)
DSP Year 1 credential (Preferred)
DSP Year 2 credential (Preferred)
