Hello! We are looking for an amazing dental hygienist for Wednesdays at our small office in Tarzana. We have a 3 chair office with many great, long time patients. We can potentially do Friday instead as well if needed, but prefer Wednesdays.

It is a cash/PPO office. No HMO, no Medi-cal/Denti-cal. We rarely ever have gaps or openings in the hygiene schedule, so you will be fully booked! We are open 8am-4:30pm daily, but we can be flexible with you if needed. We do not upsell, overtreat, etc.we believe in treating our patients like family and recommending what they actually need! We are looking for someone who is friendly, upbeat, positive, and good at what they do.

This is a part-time on-site role for a Dental Hygienist at Daniel Herrera DDS located in Tarzana, CA. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing preventive, educational, and therapeutic services to patients, and will work under the supervision of the dentist. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, conducting patient assessments, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for promoting oral health.

Qualifications

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages

- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity

Duties:

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement

- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs, Periodontal probings and reviewing medical history

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems (Dentrix) & paper charts.

- Follow all infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies
